We meet up once a quarter
Four times a year the team gets together in person in a US city — we pick somewhere the group actually wants to go, and it changes every time. Travel is on us. The rest of the year is yours.

You ship client MVPs end to end — schema, API, web UI, mobile app, deploy. You use Claude every day and know exactly where it helps and where it lies. Two seats open.

- Own features end to end: data model, API, frontend, deploy, and the bug reports that follow.
- Take a rough client spec and turn it into a scoped, shippable slice with a real estimate.
- Work in Next.js/React and Node/TypeScript + Postgres (Supabase) — and in Flutter when the client needs an app.
- Ship Flutter builds to the App Store and Google Play, release plumbing included.
- Write the tests that matter and review a teammate's diff without being asked twice.
- Talk directly to clients on calls — no account manager relaying requirements.
What we need
- 4+ years shipping production software, with real ownership of at least one product from zero to launch.
- Strong Node.js and React/Next.js. Comfortable in TypeScript, SQL, and someone else's codebase.
- Production Flutter/Dart experience, or the track record to show you'll pick it up fast.
- Daily Claude Code (or equivalent) user — you can show us a workflow, not just a chat log.
- You can read AI-generated code critically and reject it when it's wrong.
- Clear async writing. We run on written updates, not standups.
Nice to have
- An app you shipped to both stores and can point us at.
- Supabase, Postgres RLS, or Firebase in production.
- Agency, consultancy, or freelance experience with multiple concurrent clients.
- Built and shipped your own product, however small.

- Build features against a spec that is already written and scoped.
- Ship tested code that holds up to review, in the style of the codebase you found.
- Flag a blocker the day you hit it, in writing, rather than burning three days on it.
- Fix the bugs that come back on work you shipped.
- Work in Next.js/React and Node/TypeScript against Postgres (Supabase).
What we need
- 2+ years building production web apps in Node and React.
- Comfortable in TypeScript and SQL, and in a codebase you did not write.
- Daily Claude Code (or equivalent) user — this role exists because AI leverage makes it work.
- You can read AI-generated code critically and reject it when it's wrong.
- Clear written English and reliable US-hours overlap.
Nice to have
- Flutter or mobile experience.
- Supabase or Firebase in production.
- Experience on a team where your code got properly reviewed.
What this role is not
- Owning estimates or scope — that sits with the senior engineer or the PM.
- Running client calls or being the client's point of contact.
- Making architecture decisions on your own.

- Own delivery on 3–5 concurrent client projects: scope, timeline, budget, and the weekly client update.
- Turn discovery calls into a written scope engineers can actually build against.
- Catch scope creep the day it starts and renegotiate it before it eats the margin.
- Keep ClickUp honest — if the board says it, it's true.
- Run QA passes and accept work against the spec before it goes to the client.
- Be the client's main point of contact when Dan is heads-down.
What we need
- Engineering background — you wrote production code for at least a couple of years before moving into delivery.
- 3+ years running software projects, ideally agency/consultancy work with multiple clients at once.
- You can read a diff, judge whether an estimate is honest, and push back on both sides.
- Daily Claude Code user — you use it to spec, scope, audit code, and draft client comms, and you can show us how.
- Direct, unflinching written comms. Bad news early, in writing, with a plan attached.
Nice to have
- Fixed-bid scoping and change-order experience.
- Ran QA or acceptance testing yourself rather than delegating it.
- ClickUp, Jira, or Linear at the admin level.
- Startup or founder experience — you know what an MVP is actually for.
