Lintel is an app made by haynes lab LLC ("we"). This page explains what the app does with your information. The short version: Lintel does not collect anything. Your plans stay on your device.
What the app stores, and where
Everything below is stored on your phone or tablet, inside the app's private storage:
- Your plans: walls, rooms, doors, windows, furniture, dimensions, text, plan names and thumbnails.
- Version history: the last 20 versions of each plan, so you can restore one.
- Recently deleted plans, kept for 30 days and then removed.
- Settings: units, precision, grid and snapping preferences and similar choices.
What leaves your device
Only what you choose to send, plus your own device backup.
- Lintel makes no network connections. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting in this version.
- Exports: PDF, PNG and
.lintelplan files go wherever you send them through the share sheet. - Imports: a
.lintelfile you pick with the system file picker is read on your device. - Device backup: your plans and settings are included in your device's own backup (iCloud backup or Google backup) if you have it turned on, so they come back on a new phone. That backup is run by Apple or Google under your account and settings; we never see it.
- Links: the privacy policy and terms open in a browser view and load from our website like any other visit. Contact support opens your own mail app with the app version, system version and device model filled in; nothing is sent unless you send the email.
We never sell, share or receive your data, because we never have it.
Permissions
Lintel asks for no permissions. It does not use your location, camera, photos, microphone or contacts.
How to delete your data
- Delete a plan from the library. It moves to Recently deleted, where you can delete it for good right away or let it expire after 30 days.
- Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from the device. Copies in your device backup are managed in your iCloud or Google account settings.
Children
Lintel is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
A future version may add optional cloud sync with an account. If it does, we will update this page and its effective date before that version is released, and sync will stay optional.
